Welcome to the Division for Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics, one of three divisions in Stellenbosch University’s Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering.
Our work is largely located in the Department’s Energy and the Environment theme, with extensive use of Computational Engineering and increasing involvement in Biomedical Engineering. Our division is equipped with extensive computing and laboratory facilities which enable research and development work over a wide range of relevant fields.
Our mission is to provide world class education and training, research and service to industry in the fields of fundamental and applied engineering thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer.
